Description

Looked-after children and young people should expect to have the same opportunities as other children and young people, including being healthy and safe. They should be provided with the opportunities needed to help them move successfully to adulthood. The needs of looked-after children and young people vary, but are often complex, and can be met only by a range of services operating collaboratively across different settings.

This course provides an overview of the physical and emotional health and welfare needs of children who are in care and how carers can work towards meeting them.

Need more time?

We recognise that sometimes groups need more time for discussions and group work. This can mean that a two-hour session is just not long enough to explore the curriculum and engage in question and answer sessions. So we are you offering the opportunity to extend the session by an hour to allow your trainees the chance to explore the curriculum fully!
