Description

Working with Addictions – Bespoke face-to-face training for Foster Carers, Social Workers, Drug Workers and Social Housing staff.

According to the charity Action on Addiction, 1 in 3 of us is addicted to something. This means that we are all likely to be touched by addiction in some way either personally, within our circle of family or friends or wider community.

To be of any support to those at risk we need a solid foundation of understanding around:

  • But how does addiction develop?
  • What can we do to treat it?
  • What can we do to prevent it?

The course will address these questions. The course will better equip workers and carers to help the young or vulnerable people in their care navigate this complex area.
