Train the Trainer – for Social Workers

This two-day presentation course looks at all the factors that affect how confidently a training session is created and delivered. It offers simple, easy to practise tools to help you cope with nerves, get your message across memorably, structure your material for the best impact and really engage your group in the learning.

This course enables staff to feel much more confident when sharing their expertise and knowledge within a group setting. They will learn how to plan courses, speak to delegates, answer questions and explain the complicated subject matter.

This course ensures that participants are able to:

. Identify different learning styles

. Plan and deliver a training course

. Understand the appropriate use of presentation resources

. Write training aims and objectives in line with good practice

. Apply theories of group dynamics to training design and delivery

. Design innovative training materials

. Recognise and use a variety of presentation styles and methods

. Become more confident in presenting and delivering information

. Each participant will deliver a micro teach to the group and receive constructive feedback

Who is this Train the Trainer course for?

More and more we see that staff are expected to step into the role of trainer, but may not feel confident doing so. This course will help them to expand their skills in this way.

This course is for Social Workers. It can also be adapted for Drug Workers and Social Housing teams.

Level: beginner / intermediate This course can be adapted to advanced level for skilled practitioners.
