Description
Safeguarding & Child Protection
“Safeguarding Children is everyone’s responsibility” (Care Act 2014)
New Safeguarding Course - Enhanced Spring 2026 - Currently only delivered by our lead trainer, Scott Henery
This comprehensive masterclass in frontline safety is specifically designed for foster carers, teachers, and residential social care staff. Recognising the critical roles these individuals play in safeguarding vulnerable children, the course effectively bridges theoretical knowledge with the practical challenges of modern safeguarding. It explores the safeguarding protective framework from the ground up.
This course is mandatory for all foster carers and those working with under-18s. To keep children safe, key adults must be able to recognise the signs and symptoms of abuse and neglect. It is also essential to have a complete understanding of the reporting and recording processes.
Course Overview
Safeguarding is about creating an environment of proactive vigilance. This session focuses on the unique challenges faced in the home, classroom, and residential settings, emphasising the importance of the "Professional Curiosity" mindset.
